On this page we will inform you constantly about the safety situation in Saltillo.

Mexico has been in the news during the past years. However, the situation related to organized drug-related crime has calmed down and the country is much safer than it was in the last 5 years. Several student field trips took place without even minor problems, the last one in March-April 2014.

All of us worked in northeastern Mexico during the last years, and we avoid danger ourselves. We learned how to plan fieldtrips safely and will let you benefit from our experiences. Please do not hesitate to ask us whenever you have questions on the situation in Mexico or any other aspect of the meeting.
